The Chaplains’ Office is pleased to offer graduation stoles to any senior student who feels that religious or spiritual life has been an important part of her/his Colorado College experience. They are purple and teal in color, and feature an image of a labyrinth, symbolizing the journey they have completed and/or the one on which they are embarking. Please let seniors in your group know about this. Contact Chaplains’ Office staff to reserve: 389-6638 or lmadden@coloradocollege.eduChartresLabyrinth

Baccalaureate Blessings
Families of graduating seniors were invited to participate in creating Baccalaureate Blessings for the Class of 2011. These are some examples of the over 300 blessing cards that were displayed in the entry of Shove Chapel during commencement weekend. They carried messages of hope and congratulations as a form of communal blessing, creating a larger sense of community affirmation as the graduates journeyed forth.

Shove Council is a multifaith group that seeks to foster the life of the spirit at Colorado College by promoting personal and campus participation in issues of religious and ethical importance. Gathering over lunch in the Shove Office on Wednesdays, this informal group discusses various topics from a wide variety of spiritual and moral viewpoints, including those committed to a faith expression and those who are seeking/questioning. New perspectives are always welcome.

The Spiritual Journeys Series offers the CC community an opportunity to talk about issues of faith in an open and informal context. Over the years, this program has provided an education of the heart as members of our community share what motivates and inspires them. These conversations have been moving and quite beautiful.
Join us in Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse, lower level of Shove Chapel, for The Spiritual Journeys Series on the second Friday of each Block.

The Chaplains’ Office and the CC Christian community together offer an ecumenical Taize Service in the candle-lit sanctuary of Shove Chapel at 9:00 PM on the second Monday of each Block. This peaceful form of Christian worship includes readings from the Bible, simple chant-like songs and brief periods of silence. It can be meaningful to people of many spiritual paths and everyone is invited. Services this spring will be held on February 28, April 4, and May 2.
