Art in the Afternoon

Art in the Afternoon is a program where CC students teach a weekly art class to kindergarten through fifth grade students at Taylor Elementary School.

Asian American Student Union (AASU)

The AASU is a cultural group that promotes Asian culture on CC campus while trying to include a diverse group of students and encouraging them to branch out and explore different cultures.

Aprender Mediante Amistad (AMA)

AMA is an ESL group working with the Bijou Center in Colorado Springs. Volunteers work with the children and provide fun and educational opportunities. AMA provides tutoring support for the children, because in many cases, the parents of the children do not speak English and are unable to help the children with their homework. AMA creates a supportive and encouraging environment for the children, also providing valuable childcare. Throughout the course of the year, we plan several field trips, including halloween trick-or-treating on the CC campus, and an 8th block excursion to show them what campus life is like.

Amnesty International

Amnesty International is a group of people from across the world standing up for humanity and human rights. Our purpose is to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. We investigate and expose abuses, educate and mobilize the public, and help transform societies to create a safer, more just world

AppreCCiate

Founded and run by Colorado College students, the AppreCCiate Scholarship embodies our school’s spirit of social awareness, activism, and adventure. It helps make Colorado College more accessible by giving students with financial need a better opportunity to receive an outstanding liberal arts education. AppreCCiate raises awareness among current students about economic diversity at Colorado College and about the disparity between people of different economic backgrounds in attending institutions of higher education. AppreCCiate encourages Colorado College students to stop and consider the value of their education here and challenges them to show their appreciation by beginning the lifelong habit of giving back to Colorado College.

The Back Row

The Back Row is Colorado College’s only all-male a cappella group.  Comprised of 10-15 guys, the group performs regularly on campus, around Colorado, and all over the country from Las Vegas to Maine.  In addition to their live performances, the group has released two nationally acclaimed studio albums.  The Back Row holds auditions every semester and every male singer is encouraged to try out.

CC Club Baseball

Founded in 2007, Colorado College Club Baseball team competes in the National Club Baseball Association District VIII. Our team practices three times a week on
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and have games on Fridays and Saturdays during the spring.

CC Bike Co-op

Student run bike repair co-op providing free access to tools, repair assistance, and bike maintenance classes. Volunteers sought to keep co-op open, help others with repairs, and help with publicity/bike events. Possession of bicycle or prior bike repair knowledge not required or expected.

Biosciences Club

The Colorado College chapter of the Undergraduate Affiliated Network of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular biology is dedicated to the research-based undergraduate education and K-12 outreach in the sciences. We work to unite the undergraduate science community. We meet blockly to read current literature in scientific research and organize biweekly elementary level lab activities for local elementary schools.

BreakOut

BreakOut is a student-led, student-organized association that coordinates service trips for students, faculty, and staff during block and spring breaks. Participants travel together to communities where they contribute to one or more projects in progress. BreakOut has been an active part of the CC community since 1989. Our commitment is to expanding our volunteers’ horizons through service learning. We challenge our volunteers to a heighten awareness of changes occurring within a community and their own lives and to develop a sense of community with other volunteers and members of the community.

Black Student Union (BSU)

The goal of the Colorado College Black Student Union is to increase awareness and understanding of Black and African-American cultural heritage.  We also strive to create a sense of community and welcoming environment that promotes the sharing of our member’s personal experiences.

Carnivore Club

The Carnivore Club is a fun and educational social institution dedicated to promoting social awareness of the benefits and pleasures of meat, to provide informative discussions and culinary education, and to foster strong leadership skills for future meat enthusiasts.

Catholic Community

This is an organization that brings the CC Community the opportunity for Catholic worship, prayer and deeper understanding.  We welcome all students, from active Catholics to seekers, to learn more about Catholic practices and teaching.

Breckenridge Adaptive Ski

This group volunteers with the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) and aids in adaptive ski lessons for disabled students. The group will meet hopefully twice a month to go to Breckenridge to aid in these lessons. Both skiers and boarders are welcome!

CC Cycling Club

We are a group of students who love to ride and race bikes. Our team is student run and competes in the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference across the Rocky Mountain region and beyond.  Come ride!

CC Farm

The CC Farm is a student run, self sustaining, two acre garden on Wood avenue, behind the president’s house. We grow a variety of vegetables which we sell to the dining hall as well as at the downtown farmer’s market during the summer and fall.

Colorado College Learning Initiative in the Mountains (CCLIM)

CCLIM (Colorado College Learning Initiative in the Mountains) runs an outdoor education program that builds self-esteem and environmental respect in elementary and middle school children who have not had the opportunity to experience the natural wonders of Colorado.

Colorado College Student Government Association (CCSGA)

As the 2009-2010 Colorado College Student Government Association, we commit ourselves to representing the students of The Colorado College by proactively addressing their concerns and supporting their endeavors.  Student government acts as a constructive resource for the student body.

Chaplain’s Office

We help connect students with the many spiritual and religious groups on campus as well as coordinate interfaith programs including Belief in Dialogue (for members of specific religious traditions), Shove Council (open to anyone and everyone), Spiritual Journeys Series (personal discussions/sharing from CC faculty and staff), and Spiritual Classics (a religious texts reading group in conjunction with the religion department).

Chaverim/Hillel

Chaverim/Hillel represents the Jewish social organization at Colorado College. Chaverim/Hillel is responsible for organizing holiday activities, social events and educational opportunities for Jewish students.

Colorado College Chess Club (CCCC)

The CCCC is a club for enthusiasts of all levels to get together and play chess casually and to participate in tournaments against other students and faculty members.

Climbing Association of Colorado College

The Climbing Association of Colorado College (CACC) is the center of the climbing community at CC.  CACC sponsors events such as climbing competitions, climbing related outdoor courses, and speakers to come to CC and talk about their professional climbing experiences.  CACC also runs the Ritt Kellogg Climbing Gym on campus.

Colorado College Club Softball

Colorado College students are creating a club softball team for all CC women who are interested in playing competitive softball.

CC Community Kitchen

The CC Community Kitchen is dedicated to providing a meal once a week to the Colorado Springs homeless population.  Each Sunday we meet in the Sacred Grounds area beginning at 10 AM to cook and prepare dishes which we serve to our guests at 2 PM.  We generally wrap up around 4 PM.  Anyone can volunteer for as long as they like during that period, be it for cooking, serving, cleaning, or some combination of the aforementioned.  It is fun and gratifying work, and a great way to spend part of your Sunday.

COOL Science/ Girls Day in the Lab

COOL Science is an organization that brings interactive ‘Road Shows’ into local elementary and middle school classrooms, in the hopes of sparking the interest and excitement of area youth in the fields of mathematics, science, and technology.  Girls Day in the Lab is a sub-section of COOL Science where students can become leaders and demonstrate the importance of natural sciences and higher levels of education to middle school girls from under-privileged school districts.

Create

Create is a mentoring program for girls from Mann Middle School with an emphasis on arts and crafts projects.

Cru

Cru is a Christian Organization of Campus Crusade for Christ where students come together with staff members to learn more about the Bible, Jesus, and what it means to have a personal relationship with God. It is a group that welcomes students who just want to learn more about Jesus as well as students who want to grow more in their faith. All are welcome!

Dance Workshop

Dance Workshop seeks to bring dance to the entire CC community. Run entirely by students from varying degrees of experience, DW puts on one diverse show each semester. Each show showcases dance styles ranging from modern and hip hop, to Bollywood and salsa. All levels of dancers and choreographers are encouraged to try out.

Disability Awareness Group

The Disability Awareness Group is a student organization at the Colorado College that aims to educate the campus through advocacy and awareness about issues relating disabilities. We will achieve this through presenting speakers, movies and hosting disability awareness events.

Early Birds Tutoring

Early Birds is a student-run organization that provides early morning tutoring services to students at Bristol Elementary School.

Ellement

Our group name is Ellement (and yes that is spelled with two L’s).  We are the all-female a capella group on campus.  We are self-governed and responsibilities are spread throughout the group, though seniors do have more of a leadership role.  We arrange all of our songs together, perform gigs, have a semi-annual big concert to show off our work (at the end of first and second semester), and just generally have a lot of fun together.

Empty Bowls

This annual event functions to raise funds for the Colorado College Soup Kitchen as well as awareness of hunger and homelessness in our community. Students, student groups and local restaurants in the community make and donate soup for the event. Guests pay $10 which gets them a handcrafted ceramic bowl and unlimited soup. At the venue there will be music, friends and education on who is directly benefited by the proceeds.

Empty Stocking Fund

Empty Stocking Fund is an annual fundraiser put on by the El Pomar Foundation to raise money for local non-profit organizations. Colorado College has participated in this Fund by sponsoring a dodgeball tournament in 2006 and by holding a charity 5K run/walk in 2007 and 2008. We plan on holding our third annual “Stocking Shuffle” 5K run/walk this year to raise more funds for local non-profits.

EnAct

Student run Environmental Action Committee committed to making CC and the greater community more aware of the environmental and human impacts on our mother earth.

Entrepreneurship Club

The Entrepreneurship Club seeks to provide students interested in entrepreneurship: inspiration, knowledge and a network of peers with whom they can draw advice and support.  We meet the second and third Thursday of the block in Palmer 121 at 12:15

Equal

Equal is a confidential group of students that identify outside of the heterosexual norm, or that are questioning their sexual or gender identity that meets Wednesdays at 7 pm in the Interdisciplinary House. Equal meetings are 100% open. There is no need to identify, to talk about your yourself, or to even talk at all — Equal is no more a safe space for students to talk about their experiences in a welcoming and fun environment. Equal meetings are also 100% confidential. No one will ever approach or identify someone else who comes to Equal without their permission.

CC Equestrian Team

We are a Hunter/Jumper equestrian team open to riders of all levels. The experience of present team members ranges from those who have never ridden a horse before college to those who have competed nationally. For the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, we compete against 10 other schools in Hunt-Seat Equitation.

FemCo

FemCo is a student group that meets weekly to organize events, educate, and publicize issues surrounding sex, gender, sexuality and feminism on campus.  We strive to develop a strong feminist community, and to educate and engage the wider school community.

CC Collegiate Figure Skating Club

The CC Collegiate Figure Skating Club is open to both new and competitive figure skaters. We have free open ice time, organize campus-wide open skates, put together exhibitions, and compete in intercollegiate competitions. No previous experience necessary.

CC Film Union

The CC Film Union is a place for students to congregate, discuss ideas and pool the creative talent of established directors, editors, technical professionals and actors. The CC Film Union strives to create a more pro-active stance toward filmmaking at CC and to create a production team to undertake the documentation of events inside and outside CC. The CC Film Union hosts the annual CC International Film Festival.

Fitness Club (Formerly Weight Lifting Club)

Fitness Club is a club mainly focused on weight training and is more than just getting together and lifting. There is always more information out there about how to best train the body for individual fitness goals. What club centers around is meeting and learning new techniques from both one other, and our strength trainer, Malcolm. Mostly, Club is a great way to meet people who support one another in their fitness goals and create a positive workout space.

Fox Meadows Mentoring

Volunteers of the Fox Meadows Mentoring program spend one afternoon per block mentoring high-achieving Fox Meadows Middle School students. The program is designed to reward high-achieving middle school students, expose them to a college campus and encourage them to attend college. Although events vary from year to year, Fox Meadows Mentoring has included events such as attendance at CC hockey games, a holiday party and laser tag.

Friends of CC

Friends of CC is an organization sponsored by the Office of Minority & International Student Life that matches international, minority and first-generation students with families from the community. It offers the opportunity for students to build relationships with the Colorado Springs community through potlucks, outings and other fun activities.

Freeriders Union of Colorado College (FUCC)

The Freeriders Union of Colorado College (FUCC ) is a ski, snowboard, telemark and fun on the snow club at CC. We provide ski vans to the mountains, show ski movies on campus, organize a long-weekend mountain trip, and of course celebrate Winterfest (FUCC’s HUGE annual ski/party trip that constitutes an entire weekend in 7th Block).

Students for Global Health

We are a student organization dedicated to increasing the visibility and awareness of global health issues with the goal of improving health disparities around the world.  We invite members across all parts of campus to engage in debate, advocacy and service in the issues of global health, underserved health in the United States, humanitarian relief, international development, and health policy.

Health Professions Club (HPC)

Organization for and run by students interested in the health professions. Health Professions Club (HPC) provides additional resources, guidance, and advice to students intending to follow a career in the health professions, (Dental, Medical, Optometry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Veterinary). The club sponsors mock interviews with local doctors, workshops in resume and personal statement writing, brings speakers to campus, and provides additional opportunities for involvement through fundraising.

HIV (Helping Ignorance Vanish) Club

The HIV club is a service based group that provides the CC campus with information and services to raise awareness and prevent the spread of HIV.

Honor Council

It is the duty of the Honor Council to assure that the Honor System is maintained and enforced. Their responsibilities include: educating the campus community about he Honor System, investigating and trying possible Honor Code violations, and conducting fair hearings to determine an appropriate penalty. The Honor Council’s primary objective to assure that that atmosphere of mutual trust purposed by the Honor System is maintained and expanded upon.

Integrative Design Club

The purpose of this group is to further build community on campus through integrative design, unity, beautification, promoting a sense of ownership, and sustainability.

Colorado College Investment Club

The Investment Club or I-Club seeks to provide students across the entire campus with the opportunity to learn more about investing.  The purpose of the club is to give its members an opportunity to practice and use the tools gained from our courses and professors. This real world application serves to strengthen and ingrain our knowledge of economics, markets and finance. The Club also seeks to educate its members as well.

Invisible Children

Help us END to the Longest Running War in Africa, FREE the Child Soldiers and provide schools and jobs to displaced communities of Northern Uganda. Our group came together last year at CC to support the international non-profit Invisible Children.  Halfway across the globe, You can make all the difference.

Korean American Student Association (KASA)

KASA is a group that is dedicated to sharing Korean culture and traditions with both Koreans and non-Koreans.   We also want to be a fun, close-knit group!

LiveSounds

LiveSounds presents blues, rock, reggae, jazz, hip-hop and world music concerts to the CC community. Students work closely with agents, performers and production companies to plan, promote and implement concerts.

Mariachi El Tigre

Colorado College’s Mariachi Band is open to anybody with interest in Mariachi music and who can play guitar, trumpet, violin, guitarrón, vihuela, harp, other instruments, and or who can sing.  We put on at least one large concert each year and play occasionally at local restaurants.

Mighty Math

Mighty Math is a math tutoring program that allows college students to help local middle school students improve their math skills.

Mortar Board

Mortar Board is a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for their achievements in scholarship, leadership and service, provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community. The CC chapter is very focused on leadership and service to the community and our campus. Recruitment occurs each spring.

MOSAIC

MOSAIC is an organization dedicated to the promotion of multi-culturalism at The Colorado College as well as the surrounding community. We are a mosaic of different ideas and perspectives from around the world who share a common human spirit. We will use the best global ideas and practices that we gain from our members in community service.

Native American Student Union

The Native American Student Union at Colorado College is an organization that helps develop character, leadershipo, pride, Native American awareness, and community involvement. We are a diverser group of nations and cultures. Our immediate goal is to recruit more Native American students and scholars, and our long term goal is to establish a Native American Studies program. All students are welcome.

North Boys Enrichment Program

North Boys Enrichment Program is an opportunity to mentor at-risk males attending North Middle School. These students are a lot of fun and really appreciate CC role models! CC mentors and  North Middle School Students participate in fun and enriching group activities on the first and third Thursday of every block. In addition, each CC mentor is paired with a student from North and gets serve as a role model, motivator and tutor for this individual student. Mentors usually visit their mentees at North and help them with homework or hang out with them at lunch about once a week (North Middle School is just a short walk away). This program is a great chance to connect with the youth in our community and make a difference in a boy’s life!

Photography Club

Photography Club is a group committed to sharing, enhancing, and enjoying photography on and off campus.  We offer a forum for students of all skill levels to be income involved in photography at the Colorado College.

Pre-Law Society

The Pre-Law Society provides information to help students determine whether law school is an appropriate graduate school choice, information about law schools, the law school application process, the LSAT, and career options for students who decide to pursue law school. We meet at least once per block with attorneys, admission representatives from various law schools, and/or faculty and staff from CC who hold law degrees. Come join us at any of our meetings!

Queer Straight Alliance (QSA)

QSA seeks to build bridges between the queer and straight communities, through social programming, education, and advocacy.  QSA creates a network of allies and critically examines what it means to be an ally in all facets of life.  QSA promotes a safe environment for queer students and the continuing of discussion regarding sexuality and gender identity.

Refugee Assistance Program

The Refugee Assistance Program (RAP) works with refugees who have recently immigrated to Colorado Springs. The club operates alongside Lutheran Family Services, a federally funded refugee resettlement agency. RAP members get paired with refugee families and do everything they can to help the families become self-sufficient in the US such as teaching English, finding jobs, and forming lasting friendships. RAP also volunteers at ESL classes for immigrants and refugees as well as working in the LFS office.

Reiki Group

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing method.  It channels energy through the chakras and out the palms of your hands.  It works on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.

Relay For Life

Relay For Life is overnight event that celebrates and remembers all those who have battled and are battling cancer. Relay For Life is also a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Each year CC’s Relay For Life has grown both in terms of the number of participants and the amount of money fundraised. This year Relay will take place in May 2010 and our fundraising goal is $33,000. Our planning committee works year round to provide a night of ceremonies, entertainment, food, and much more. Consider joining the planning committee or participating in the 5^th annual Relay For Life at Colorado College!

Revolution Ministries

This is a weekly dinner/discussion where anyone can join us in conversation regarding the relevance of Christ and the Bible. Past semesters have dealt with the life of Jesus, the commands of Christ, hard passages of the Bible, and other relevant topics.  This semester will be an ongoing discussion of the parables of Christ.  He told these stories, asked us to learn from them, but what was He saying?  How do the parables apply today?

Roosevelt Institute

The Roosevelt Institutes empowers students to construct progressive policy for the betterment of the state, the campus, and the nation as a whole. We work in cooperation with a nation wide campus policy network.

Roots & Shoots

The Roots & Shoots program is about making positive change happen—for our communities, for animals and for the environment. With tens of thousands of young people in almost 100 countries, the Roots & Shoots network connects youth of all ages who share a desire to create a better world. Young people identify problems in their communities and take action. Through service projects, youth-led campaigns and an interactive website, Roots & Shoots members are making a difference across the globe.

Rotaract Club of Colorado College

Rotaract is a community service organization here at CC affiliated with Rotary international. We seek to improve our community through varied and numerous service projects such as Habitat for Humanity, working with Madison Elementary Students, fundraising efforts, and many others.

Sacred Grounds Coffee House

Sacred Grounds is CC’s student run, sustainable, socially responsible, fair trade and organic coffee house. It is located in the basement of Shove Chapel and is open Sunday-Friday, 9:00 pm to LATE. All are welcome to come hang out, study, and join in on one of our many events including open mics, poetry on the roof, art exhibits, and blockly movie showings!

Salsa Club

Salsa Club meets every Thursday from 9-11 pm in the Cornerstone flex room.  Dancing includes salsa, merengue, cumbia, cha cha cha and bachata.  Lessons are from 9-9:30, so no experience is necessary.  Come and bring your friends!

Student Anthropological Society

The Colorado College Student Anthropological Society, SAS, was formed in the spring of 1995 to provide a forum outside the classroom where students could exchange and discuss ideas about the discipline of anthropology, to provide student support for majors, to assist with peer tutoring, and to provide an organizational structure for student representation in department meetings, to transmit student concerns to the department, and for participation in department discussions about hiring new faculty, curriculum changes, and other issues of student concern. SAS governance varies according to the current cohort’s interest, but typically students elect or appoint officers to lead the group.  A subgroup of SAS is the Atlatl Club, based around activities with the prehistoric hunting weapon, and founded in 2006.

The SAS also provides interested students with opportunities to present and discuss their research, for example, a slide show of experiences on an archaeological dig in Honduras.  Occasionally, professors are invited to attend the meetings, thus adding to the discussion at hand.  SAS offers a live, interactive audience for seniors to ‘practice’ their Anthropology Day presentations.  Additionally, SAS seeks to bring guest speakers in anthropology to the department and college, as well as organizing other events of interest (including discussions of graduate school programs, anthropological careers panels, film series, thematic celebrations).

SHAC (Student Health Advisory Committee)

SHAC is a group of CC students interested in the health and health services of the Colorado College campus. We act as a liaison between the students and Boettcher health center. Through our many events held throughout the year we hope to encourage safe and responsible habits and behavior in the community. We also hold a relationship with the Boettcher center staff and coordinate with their efforts to promote a healthier and more comfortable campus atmosphere.

Shotokan Karate Club

Shotokan Karate Club aims to promote physical well-being and knowledge of self-defense on campus by offering classes open to all students and faculty of all experience levels.

CC Club Ski Team

CC Alpine Ski Racing Team—fun, low-key ski racing competing against 6-8 schools in Colorado 5^th and 6^th block.  Some previous experience necessary (high school or USSA/FIS).  Please email Ellen Palazzo for more information.

Student Musical Theater Group (SMTG)

The Student Musical Theater Group is the sole student-run organization on campus dedicated to providing musical theater opportunities to students. Every year, the group turns out two productions, a smaller revue in the fall followed by a larger musical in the spring, each of which are produced entirely by students with the help of certain faculty.  Students involved with SMTG gain experience in any and/or all areas of musical theater production, whether it be performance, directing, designing, running, or choreographing.  All talents are welcome!

Sounds of Colorado College (SOCC)

The SOCC is a completely student-run radio station, from programming to operations to general management. It is an extra curricular and educational project for students, faculty and the Colorado Springs community members. We primarily broadcast music programmed by student DJs, talk and news shows developed and produced by students, and re-broadcast lectures, live music and other sound rich campus happenings. We also pride ourselves on enriching the relationship between those at the Colorado College and the larger Colorado Springs area. The SOCC’s studio is located in Loomis, and the SOCC’s license is held by KRCC and the Colorado College.

SOMOS “We Are”

SOMOS explores Latina/o, chicana/o, and Hispanic culture and issues with the Colorado College and the larger Colorado Springs community.

SOSS (Student Organization for Sexual Safety)

SOSS educates and supports members of the college community with regards to the issues of sexual misconduct, harassment, and rape providing educational workshops and operating a 24-hr/day-crisis line to provide information and support.

State of the Rockies Project

The State of the Rockies Project is a Student-Faculty collaborative research initiative of Colorado College studying issues pertinent and unique to the Rocky Mountain West. Each summer 5-6 students are hired as Project Researchers. These students spend the summer working at Colorado College and around the region, and prepare reports to be included in the State of the Rockies Report Card. SOTR also hosts an annual speaker series at Colorado College.

Student Alumni Association

The Colorado College Student Alumni Association, sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations, acts as a liaison between students and alumni. Its main purpose is to stimulate the interest and participation of all students in the life of Colorado College. Further, the mission of the Student Alumni Association (S/AA) is to encourage current students to participate in the CC community, act as a liaison between students and alumni, and provide enriching opportunities for students to meet and cultivate relationships within the CC community.

Student Ambassadors

The purpose of this organization is to reach out to underserved students in Colorado Springs as well as the Denver Metro Area.  To do so, the group visits high schools and middle schools providing students with information about postsecondary education that they may not otherwise have available to them.  A project the group is working on currently is bringing students, counselors, and parents to campus not only to give them information about postsecondary education, but allow them the opportunity to experience a college campus first hand.  With CC trying to increase diversity on campus we feel that our organization would be essential to achieving this goal.

Student Cultural Centre

The Student Cultural Centre a house two doors down from the Glass House where students can hold meetings for their groups and organizations. It’s also a place where students can go study or just hang out with friends.

Sustained Dialogue

Sustained Dialogue is a process for improving the campus climate.  We seek to bring together all kinds of people in small dialogue groups that meet twice each block..  Here they can talk about things they can’t talk about anywhere else such as identity, interests, power, perception, misperception, stereotypes, and the interactions between diverse peoples and groups.  Ultimately, our aim is to open lines of communication in order to better the campus  community.

Tabletop Roleplayer’s Guild (TRPG)

A loose-knit organization dedicated to helping those interested in tabletop roleplaying in finding other people that share their hobby. We work to make the college an exciting place for those who enjoy being heroes.

Colorado College’s own student-run newspaper devoted to giving the students relevant and entertaining news in issues on and off the campus.

Theatre Workshop

Theatre Workshop is a student-run, student-directed, student-produced theatre company designed to offer students unique artistic opportunities while providing entertainment to the greater CC community. We produce two full-length plays each semester, and also host a ten-minute play writing competition once a year. We also have a fund available for smaller, independent theatrical projects. Theatre Workshop runs out of Taylor Theater, in Bemis Hall.

Volunteer Action

A social mentoring program for local 4^th and 5^th graders.. Each elementary school student is paired with two college mentors for the year. We meet twice a block on Wednesdays to go do fun activities.

VOX, Advocates for Choice

Our organization works to educate the college community about reproductive health and rights; to translate increased awareness into pro-choice activism on campus; and to serve as a coalition partner to state, national, and international reproductive rights efforts.

Colorado College Women’s Rugby

CC Women’s Rugby is an athletic club that meets 3 times a week for practice and periodically on weekends to play games. Rugby is a full contact sport very similar to American football. We play other colleges and thus get to travel all over the state.

Women’s Club Ultimate Frisbee

Play Ultimate Frisbee with the CC Women’s Team, Lysistrata’s Tools.  Practice 2-3 times a week and travel to tournaments.
