About Madison '10

Madison never would have predicted her degree from Colorado College with a major in Dance and a minor in Education Studies, not to mention her internship at the Colorado College Student Garden and her trip across the world to teach therapeutic dance. Now, though it may take a rainy day and hot latte to inspire a fully articulated explanation, she could not be more satisfied with her unconventional education and aspirations.

She is a senior at CC and will be spending the last stretch of her year not only off-campus, but out of the country. From March 24-May 7, 2010 she will be in Taiwan with Rosey Puloka, a recent CC graduate, and Dolo McComb a sophomore at CC. There, as residents at the Taipei Artists Village, they will be leading movement workshops to disabled and disadvantaged citizens, performing around Taiwan and Madison will be completing her senior thesis.

Taiwan will be only her second time out of the country, following her trip to The Kingdom of Tonga last summer with 4 other CC students and recent graduates. There, their group Lifted, executed an independent project on the healing effects of dance, funded by grants from the school.

Here, she will be documenting her travels, keeping a blog, posting pictures, etc. which can be viewed by anyone who is interested.
